10th Annual Bob & Joyce Spratt Memorial Golf Outing
benefited Saratoga Bridges Foundation
For the 6th consecutive year, the Spratt family chose Saratoga Bridges to be the beneficiary of funds raised at the Annual Bob & Joyce Spratt Memorial Golf Outing. The event was held at the Brookhaven Golf Course (located in Porter Corners) on Saturday, September 24, 2016 netted $6,000. 130 golfers had a delightful day that included a full round of golf, Buffet and Awards Ceremony. Below are a few photos.
Joyce was a loving wife and mother of 4 boys who sadly passed away after a battle with cancer. Sadly, we lost her husband Bob, a longtime Board Member, just a few months ago. Both Joyce and Bob were strong supporters of the agency. Their legacy of involvement continues as their son Christopher is the President of our Foundation Board. Chris had this to say about the tournament, “Our 10th year of hosting this event resulted in the largest participation yet. We are certain that this was due to the recent passing of our dad who meant so much to so many people! This day celebrates my parents’ lives and provides my brothers and me with an opportunity to get people together to laugh, have fun and cherish their memory.”
To date, this tournament has generated over $50,000 in donations for charity. For the 6th year Saratoga Bridges has allocated 50% of the funds towards our underfunded programs that fall under the umbrella of our Family Support Services. The remaining 50% will be donated to our Foundation’s Endowment.
The agency is most appreciative to the Spratt family for their generosity and support!
