Saratoga Bridges received a $1,000 donation from BBL Construction Services, LLC at a reception and check presentations ceremony held on Tuesday, June 11 at the Hilton Garden Inn in Troy. In recognition of BBL Construction Services’ 40th Anniversary, the company wanted to celebrate the community that has helped them become the success they are today. A Selection Committee reviewed nominations that were submitted by their associates and made sixty $1,000 contributions to local non-profit organizations. It was a wonderful event to learn more about the tremendously diverse organizations that all of their associates are passionate about. As BBL looks to the next chapter of their story, they want to continue partnering with these agencies in working together to strengthen communities.
We will apply these funds to our Builder’s Society to support capital improvements in our Residential Department. We offer employment, recreation and volunteer opportunities for 120 individuals who reside in our 18 community-based homes, 4 apartments and 5 family care homes. Not just a group of institutional-modeled facilities or work sites for staff, our homes are where people live like any other family and are a reflection of their personalities. They can be who they are, feel love, comfort and security, rejoice in happy, successful occasions and console each other in times of sadness. They share household responsibilities, maximize independence and jointly make decisions. Quite simply, they are your neighbors who work on being good citizens and valued, productive and involved members of the community. We provide 24/7 oversight, security, upkeep, support while maintaining close ties with family and friends and facilitate an environment that produces a true family unit!
